Cold mixed asphalt for use in pot holes, driveway repairs etc , are available from all plants in 25kg bags.
Pothole mix
Roadspan Pothole mix is packaged in green 25kg bags. It is environmentally friendly and is used to repair roads, driveways, parking areas and warehouse floors. Once compacted Roadspan Pothole mix can accommodate traffic immediately. Roadspan has 10 Asphalt Plants most with mobile capabilities, as well as on site laboratories and a comprehensive technical team to ensure a reliable quality supply of asphalt.

Roadspan Cold Asphalt Mix is made using top quality aggregates blended with a medium set anionic grade bitumen emulsion ( see MS 200 spec attached). This emulsion ensures improved workability in cold climatic conditions and can be stockpiled under cover or in bags for more than 3 months before application.
THE PRODUCT DESIGN AND PROFILE
When designing asphalt mixes we strive to achieve a durable mix of high stability.
The mixes must have sufficient voids between the aggregate particles ensuring that sufficient bitumen is added to achieve flexibility, durability and workability without sacrificing resistance to permanent deformation.
Our mixes have to fulfil a wide range of requirements and must have the ability to:
• Be workable during application
• Be durable, resisting abrasion by traffic and the effects of air and water
• Resist permanent deformation
• Resist fatigue cracking
HOW TO REPAIR A POT HOLE
1. First clean out the Pothole
2. Sweep out all loose material
3. Open bag and pour in Pothole mix
4.Spread the mix evenly in the hole
5. Overfill the hole to allow for compaction. Rake the Pothole mix level
6. Compact the Pothole mix with a Hand Compactor or Bomag roller. Make sure hole is well compacted. Sweep away all loose material
