Asphalt Laboratory
The head office laboratory is equipped with all the necessary equipment to test aggregate and do asphalt designs. This includes an xy recorder for stability and flow testing. The services offered comprise the following:
- Aggregate testing for asphalt designs
- Asphalt designs for various asphalt plants
- Aggregate testing for chip and spray
- Cutting paving cores and determining the density of these cores
The site laboratories are responsible for Marshall testing on asphalt. This consists of binder content, gradings, voids in mix, stability, flow, I.T.S and densities. The labs are committed to providing customers with a continuously high level of confidence that asphalt conforms to requirements.
